The databases provide a convenient way to store large amounts of information, allowing information to sort, search, display and handled according to operational needs andgoals. A database is based on the software for organizing data thestorage. The software models the database structure inwhat known as database models. The model most used today is the relational model. How to create a database in Microsoft Excel

The term database in Microsoft Excel has never sat well with me and my role in the IT world has been in developing database and what is used by the Brotherhood of spreadsheeting is what I consider a list more glorious. However, for the sake of peace, I want to emphasize certain principles to be followed in building what is called the database of Microsoft Excel.

Let’s review. . .

A database, in essence, is what is considered as a set of information that are related in some way. For example, if you run a business and sell a product, you can have a database that simply lists all the sales you made in time. Storing this data in a database, it is logical that the information of the company and the sale of a product is related and as such, would be desirable for the database.

There are many types of databases available, such as databases, Microsoft Access, Oracle databases, MySQL databases and so on, but Microsoft Excel also has a form of a database call list database. The way the list is almost the same as other databases that data is under column headings in rows, but after that common point, the Excel database goes in its own direction. See, to find specific data in a database or list of Microsoft Excel Excel we can not use the language of the common basis of SQL, actually using the features specially written. These functions are written by you and are known as criteria.

So how can we create an excellent database. . .

Well first, there is a rule we follow is a long Excel spreadsheet database. Additionally, you receive just a lot of problems. In fact, if you need to have multiple databases in the Excel workbook simply put each Excel database on a separate sheet.

Next you need to follow is that your database lists first row must contain the head of the list. This is the first line contains the names of its fields. Furthermore each domain name must be 100% exclusive. You can not have two domain names with the same name or if you have a list that will not work.

The next question should be interested in identifying the field names. Excel databases have a simple rule, the names of the field or column names must be unique. Now, how to identify them is easy, all you have to do is provide the names of different types of field data, format, etc. for the remainder of model database in your list. Normally I do is format my field names in bold to meet this requirement.

One of the most important rules to remember when creating an Excel database is that around the row and column fields and data there must be a blank row and column. What this means is that you can still get a top position in the field, but there must be a blank line between title and fields and along the last column also. The rule also applies blank line at the bottom of the list also.

When entering data in the list, each cell of each file must contain a certain value, even if it is just empty (an empty value is still considered a value) and each record must contain the same number of fields. If no specific data for each field you simply leave blank and move to the next field.

Make sure to enter data in a field with no space before the text or at the end of the text field. If you have space, what will happen is that the classification and search of data in the list will be compromised and unexpected results.

The uppercase and lowercase in the search field or sort criteria if not said exactly the Microsoft Excel application, there is a problem. You can also use formulas in a cell if necessary. Formulas can refer to cells in the list in Excel database or outside the Excel database.

Also note that you can edit and format the cells as another worksheet, however, the problem should be considered as a priority is that the domain names must have a format different from the rest of the data in the list database. It is strongly recommended that no other format in the list, with the exception of the lines on the floor. This ensures that no miscalculations by the application of which is a position in the field of Excel database and what is not.

Now that the list has been configured in this way following these rules, you are now ready to interrogate the list by applying criteria. The more simple you can do is to use the dialog form. To enter the database module for Excel, simply choose the Data menu and then choose how the menu.

In the form of Excel database, you can simply choose the Criteria button, type the criteria you have for your data and select the Next button that takes you to the first record that meets the desired criteria. Excel Databases are particularly useful for summary data, where the volume of records you have in your database does not exceed 65536 rows.

If you follow these rules to create an excellent database that will be the functions associated with the list of database functions of Excel effectively and efficiently.
