Computer forensics plays an important role in the fight against terrorism and criminal activities. The fact is that the bad guys use computers, Internet and other modern media to communicate and store their plans. We would be naive if we think it can only open Word or Excel. They are aware of all the risks and are protected by modern encryption algorithms and general protective measures. Combating criminal activities is very different from the discovery of occasional violations of the company computers.

Many issues can be hidden, if the software used for criminal activity or unwanted are not on the computer disk and is present in the computer’s memory. It is very easy to start a process successfully, then cover all the issues that were left behind. In this case, the analysis of data from disk is meaningless because there was nothing suspicious could be found. The only solution to this problem are tools that can protect data such as volatile memory.

The static analysis of the data (analysis of a hard drive removed from the computer) is usually not sufficient because many technologies can be used to erase all traces of files and systems relevant data are kept only in memory. Theoretically, it would be possible to freeze the computer’s memory with liquid nitrogen, which greatly increase the chances of recovering the data, but this method is not practical. Analysis of the volatile data lives on a computer is essential to any serious forensic analysis.

There are many open source and commercial forensic tools that professionals can take a snapshot of critical volatile data for later analysis. These tools can detect open ports, virtual drives, VPN connections and other resources is not visible to the user. In some cases the entire disk or individual partition can be encrypted, it is important to take a picture of it before the system is stationary. Once all data is securely stored can be analyzed independently of the state of the team.

A logical question would be, for example, what can be done to hide the success of certain processes in the computer memory? Theoretically, it would be possible to eliminate the traces of memory when the process is not active or if the entry is expected. But even these approaches are some solutions. You can create memory snapshots at regular intervals and, sooner or later the secret process display.

They closely examine their web sites, corporate publications, patents and other activities to decipher enemy.Over the years, with increased competition and increasing profitability in companies, managers have begun to use innovative methods to obtain information from their rivals. Unfortunately, in a paroxysm of intense surveillance that do not have to stay within legal limits. They have gradually begun to transcend the legal lines, and obtaining information by unethical means quickly became widespread. Unlawful deprivation of information on business opponents called “industrial espionage.” Industrial espionageIndustrial espionage refers to all infiltration activities that are performed by contractors to obtain information from their rivals in the commercial business. Because these exercises are practiced by some intelligence officers in the corporate world, industrial espionage term has become synonymous with “espionage.” The victims of espionage directed range of organizations of rival companies to government agencies. Invariably, these business units suffer huge financial losses deceived. However, do not report these crimes for fear of losing customer confidence or interest of shareholders.Furthermore, the authors are the real leaders of big business, and are rarely prosecuted. He is the author of the week it was condemned. Invariably, the offender is caught in the act – that of stealing the highly sought after business information. Information of high demand from companiescompetitors on the lookout, searching for information of all kinds. Each bit of information available is valuable and used appropriately. The strategy paper engineering drawings, and details of new products to help employers fill out the information they have collected through reverse engineering. (Reverse engineering is the process of buying competing products and their dismantling to learn the secrets of the application of technical knowledge.) Customer databases, supplier agreements, information relating to tender, future plans merger and so offers to help the jurisdiction of the offers and get an advantage to win the competition.data collection methods vary. Agents could be recruited to work in the rival company and transmit the information accessible. The corruption of the rival group employees is also adopted. However, these traditional methods are based on the commitment of people to do illegal work. The advent of computer digitized industrial espionage methods and gives a modern twist on white collar crime. Theft of information into the digital ageThe most obvious methods of industrial espionage is the theft of laptops or break in the offices of the opponent and leave with your desktop computer. A few cases of espionage was discovered when bribed employees in “research and development wing of a known combustion have been captured sensitive information about the CD. In general, employees of any organization is greedy to become the link weakness in the security chain. These employees are unethical identified and contacted by the contact line.Other discrete numerical methods related to the installation of keylogger software that are used to record the keystrokes of computer users. This provides easy access to user activity, which also include obtaining passwords, emails, etc. The detection of such activity is difficult spyware means that the attackers have been invented to avoid detection. Even if activity is detected spyware, setting recorder key activity as an act of industrial espionage is difficult. Only digital forensics can contribute to this scenario. Role of Digital Forensics in the search for culpritsbribed employees of an organization (which transmit the lifeline of business information) are often fooled into complacency. They press the delete key on your computer and make sure that they are leaving no physical evidence of criminal activity. However, nothing could be further from the truth. The particularity of digital evidence is that there are no visible. user activity have been incorporated into the computer’s hard drive and digital evidence is almost impossible to erase. computer forensics experts use specialized tools and equipment and discover such evidence and prosecute criminals.espionage is bad and all measures be taken to stop it. Effects of industrial espionage are dangerous in their ramifications. Not only help companies to bankruptcy, but also affect relations with friendly countries. When the acts of industrial espionage, which transcend national boundaries, is proving that bothers a moment and allies to doubt the validity of good relations.

The development of stored data has increased dramatically in recent years. Legal professionals understand how frustrating it can be to live among piles of paper in search of relevant information and floating in the text to try to collect data for legal matters.

It is a service that allows lawyers to reduce use of paper copies and organize critical data electronically. If the interventions and emails have been essential data in a trial have been printed, it’s time to manually trawl through them to find those that are relevant. This course depends on the amount of data stored in the Inbox, Outbox, Sent Box and all other files embedded in a messaging system, but it is not only e-mails will need to file, there are several other documents are usually held on a PC.

Now, there is a process known as e-discovery available to primary dealers in the digital age and computer forensics industry. It allows documents to be extracted and refined computers containing evidence in a court case. It is used to obtain relevant data which contributes to the evidence, the system can extract emails containing certain words or topics, to search more specific.

E-discovery will not only save time but also save many pages of paper and ink needed to print. Broken down into simple terms, 1 GB of data could correspond to 200 tonnes of paper. Of course, once a court case is over, all that paper has to go somewhere. E-discovery can reduce waste in the environment.

This service specialists are demonstrating how the use of this process can make things easier, cleaner and more streamlined. With their time to show how lawyers can keep data in its original state, says that understanding how data can be recorded with a click of the mouse.

So if you are a lawyer who regularly deals with cases of reams of paper and e-discovery can help you search for computer forensics specialists who can provide that solution.
